WHAT ARE THE TOPPERS MADE OF?

All our toppers are made out of edible products, such as store bought fondant and gumpaste. It is a gum-like paste made of sugar, eggs and more. The paste was made in a facility that also processes Milk, Egg, Soy and Tree Nuts. 

 We use non-toxic, non-edible petal dust for added details, food safe pens and gel paste colors. Different toppers also ask for internal structures. That is when we use styrofoam, floral wires and tape, wooden skewers, and non edible stamens.

CAN I EAT THE TOPPERS

Short answer: NO.

Although made out of edible products, our toppers are solely intended for decorative purposes. The paste that makes the elements was processed in a facility that processes egg, milk, soy and tree nuts. We also use non edible elements as in wooden skewers, plastic stamens and floral wires in the making of the cake toppers. Again, please use our toppers for decoration only, DO NOT CONSUME.

HOW DO I STORE THE TOPPERS?

Sugar Cake Toppers can be kept as a memento if stored properly; they can last up to 18 months.

Do not expose the sugar items to extreme humidity, water or direct sunlight / fluorescent light.

As they are fragile items, do not drop the toppers as they will easily break. 

Do not freeze or refrigerate the sugar items. Keep them stored in a cool and dry place.

Keep the sugar toppers in an airtight box or the package it came in until the day of your event.

Place toppers a couple of hours on your cake before the start of the event, specially on any type of cream-covered cake as the moisture in that cream tends to “melt’’ the sugar toppers.

HOW LONG DOES SHIPPING TAKE?

To ensure that your order arrives in good time, we suggest ordering at least 3 weeks before your event is to take place. As all of our products are handmade, the processing time varies between 7 to 15 business days. You also have to account for the shipping time.

MY ORDER ARRIVED DAMAGED, WHAT’S NEXT?

We have tested our packaging methods and take every precaution to ensure that your order arrives in top form. Unfortunately, there is always the possibility that a mishap has occurred during transport. As soon as our products are in the hands of the shipping company, we cannot be held responsible for damages occurred during handling and shipping.

However, we dedicate ourselves to ensure that you are satisfied with your purchase. For that reason, we will be happy to assist you in any way we can by either giving you steps for repair (as little pieces can be easily glued back together) or issue a partial refund. For the partial refund, it is necessary to send us proof of the damaged package and product.

Due to the nature of our products, we cannot accept returns as of now.

DO YOU SHIP OUT OF THE US?

We aim to reach as many customers as possible. As of now, we are only serving the US, CANADA….. 

WILL I RECEIVE AN EXACT COPY OF THE TOPPER PICTURED?

Our cake toppers are all handmade. What makes them unique is the fact that there are no two alike. Therefore, please expect some slight changes in color and size, as screen displays will differ. But rest assured that you will receive a beautiful cake topper that will be an eye catcher on your sweet cake.

CAN I RETURN A CAKE TOPPER?

Due to the nature of our products, we cannot accept any returns.

CAN I REQUEST A COLOR CHANGE?

Of course! We enjoy taking custom orders and we look forward to bringing your idea to life!

HOW DO I PLACE THE TOPPERS ON MY CAKE?

Some flowers come with a bendable wire for easy placement on your cake. Place the wire inside a bubble tea straw to avoid contact of the floral tape with your cake and place it gently on your dessert.

CUSTOM AND IMPORT TAXES

Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. I’m not responsible for delays due to customs.

Overview on Refund and Returns

Due to the nature of our products, we do not do returns. Please make sure that your order is correct before purchasing.

Our refund policy lasts 48 hours. If 48 hours have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a full refund.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned.

Additional non-returnable items:

  • Gift cards
  • Downloadable software products

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:

  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
  • Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items

Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at maysugararts@gmail.com and we will provide a return address.

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.

Shipping returns

To return your product, you should send us an email at: maysugararts@gmail.com

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
